[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]YWCA Mankato is kicking off a Diaper Drive on October 1 and is seeking donations of diapers during the month of October while also educating the community about #DiaperNeed. The reality is babies require up to 12 diapers per day, at a cost of $70-$80 per month per baby – a price many families cannot afford.
“Over the past 12 months, we have provided over 8,300 diapers to the families in our New American Families program, ensuring that they have one less worry on their shoulders.” said Kristina Spidahl, Program Manager of the New American Families program. “Every single diaper represents a child’s comfort, well-being, and dignity. We are proud of the impact we have made in addressing diaper insecurity. With help from the community, we can continue supporting our families and work towards a community where diaper insecurity is no longer a barrier to a healthy and happy childhood. No baby wet behind!”
We need your to help address the #DiaperNeed in our community! Diapers can be dropped off at the YWCA office located in Shared Spaces at 127 S. 2nd St, Mankato between 8 am and 4 pm. Follow the YWCA Mankato Facebook and Instagram for updates on progress and more information about #DiaperNeed.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
