Buy-and-take artists are Alvaro Jose Aburto Gadea (ceramics), Aaron Geringer (ceramics), Joel Moline (ceramics) of St. Peter, and Christina Donley (paintings, prints), Pegeen Hare Rozeske (leather), Luke Splinter (metal work), Dustin Swiers (ceramics), Shayna Swiers (jewelry), Raya Watts (paintings), Caleb Stoner (jewelry, metal work), Jaci Ulrich (jewelry, fiber), and ARK (paintings, prints) of Mankato. Featured authors are Rebecca Fjelland Brooks of Mankato, Rachael Hanel of Madison Lake, and Kirstin Cronn-Mills of North Mankato.About her window exhibition Siempre Buscando, Wilson says, “My pieces aim to depict my indigenous Nahuatl (Mexico) ancestors—a strong people with dark skin and features resembling my own. The project transformed into a love letter to my family—my mom and my Matias and Solis relatives—celebrating their hard work, sacrifice, and love.”A free public reception for both exhibitions will take place on Saturday, November 2, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at the Arts Center. With the exception of a Thanksgiving Day closure, the Arts Center is open regular hours through December 21 (Wednesday-Friday 1:00-5:00 p.m., Saturday 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Sunday 1:00-5:00 p.m.).
