Michael S. Borgmeyer, age 71 of Montgomery passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, surrounded by his family. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 12 from 9am-11am with Mass of Christian Burial at 11, all at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. Burial will be held at a later date.

Mike was born on March 3, 1950 to Wilbert and Blanche (Carr) Borgmeyer in Mexico, Missouri. He graduated from Montgomery High School. Mike was united in marriage to Theresa Bastyr on November 1, 1969 in Lonsdale. Mike was a lifetime farmer and also worked for Hartman Well Drilling in New Prague for over 20 years. He enjoyed farming, tractor pulling, model trains, tinkering, supervising projects, polka music and listening to KCHK.

Mike is survived by his wife, Theresa Borgmeyer of Montgomery; children, Michelle (Jason) Sladek of Montgomery, Craig (Kathy) Borgmeyer of Forest City, IA, Willie (Carla Sticha) Borgmeyer of Montgomery and Andy (Danelle) Borgmeyer of Montgomery; siblings, Pat Hammons of Martinsburg, MO and Connie (Don) Tupy of Montgomery; grandchildren, Derek Trnka, Ellie Sladek, Hailey Borgmeyer (Casey Culver), Brooklyn Borgmeyer and Bennett Borgmeyer.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Janet (Phil) Talley; brothers-in-law, Mark Bastyr and Jim Hammons.
