Gregory John Vlasak Obituary
Gregory John Vlasak, age 73 of Montgomery passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at his home. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 1 from 4pm-8pm at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 2 at 11am at St. John Lutheran Church in Montgomery with Pastor Jason Pollington officiating with visitation one hour prior at the church. Interment will be held in St. John Catholic Cemetery. Military Honors provided by Montgomery area Veterans Honor Guard.

Greg was born on August 18, 1948 in New Prague to Alvin B. and Rita (Moore) Vlasak. He was a graduate of Montgomery High School and then served in the Army, Coast Guard, and Navy. Greg was united in marriage to Melinda Mellen on April 26, 1980 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Montgomery. He enjoyed hunting, fishing- being outdoors, was a collector of many things but most of all spending time with his grandchildren and family.

Greg is survived by his wife, Melinda Vlasak of Montgomery; children, Adam (Sarah) Vlasak of Havelock, NC., Eve (Jeff) Rotter of Montgomery, Nicole (David) Vossen of Blue Earth, Kasie Vlasak of Montgomery, and Clinton Vlasak of Montgomery; grandchildren, Addison and Annie Vlasak, Maddox, Alexander and Hendrix Rotter, Sophia and Millie Vossen, and Lila and Nolan Vlasak; siblings, JoAnn (Tom) Dawson of Montgomery, Gordon (Kristen) Vlasak of Florida, Mark (Sandy) Vlasak of Montgomery, Kurt (Colleen) Vlasak of Lake Havasue, AZ., Richard (Liz) Vlasak of Montgomery, Patrick Vlasak of Prior Lake, and June Vosejpka of Le Center.

Greg is preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, Amelia and Asher Vossen; and his parents.
