Teresa Anne Krenik, age 93 of Le Center passed away at Benedictine Senior Living in St. Peter on Thursday, August 18, 2022. Visitation will be held on, Tuesday, August 23 from 3pm-7pm Rosary at 2:45 pm at the Le Center Funeral Home in Le Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 24 at 11am with visitation 1-1/2 hours prior at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Le Center. Interment will be held in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Lexington. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.

Teresa was born on November 14, 1928 in Derrynane Township in Le Sueur County to Norbert and Helen (Sullivan) Schumacher. She was a graduate of McKinley High School in Le Center and also Teachers Training Dept. in Le Center. Teresa was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Norbert Francis Krenik on June 1, 1950. She worked teaching Country School for 3 years then worked alongside Norbert on their farm in Lexington township until 1984 and then moved to Le Center.

She enjoyed needle work and traveling. Teresa was a member of the Le Center School Board and volunteered at the food shelf, Red Cross Bloodmobile, St. Mary’s Thrift Store, Meals on Wheels, Le Center Public School, Central Health Care, St. Mary’s funeral lunch committee, very active in the St. Mary’s and St. Joseph’s CCW.

Teresa is survived by her husband, Norbert Krenik of Le Center; children, Kathy (Mike) Minkler of Isanti, Dave (Mary) Krenik of Le Center, Bette Traxler of Le Center, daughter-in-law, Rose Krenik of Le Center, Fr. Mike Krenik of Minneapolis, Brian (Belinda) Krenik of Pine Island, Andy (Karen) Krenik of Minneapolis, and Norby (Carolyn) Krenik of Lake Hiawatha in New Jersey; 20 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, in-laws, other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Bill Krenik and Terry Krenik; siblings, Vincent Schumacher, Gene Schumacher, and Mary Sheridan.
