Karen Ann Snorek, age 59, of Montgomery, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at home in Montgomery, surrounded by her family. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 16, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Shieldsville with Memorial Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 AM with Father Tom Niehaus officiating. Interment will be held in St. John Catholic Cemetery in Montgomery.

Karen was born on September 3, 1963 in Minneapolis to Tom and Mary Lou (Carlton) Murphy. She attended grade school in Farmington, John F. Kennedy High School in Bloomington, and Inver Hills Community College in Inver Grove Heights. Karen was united in marriage to Robert Snorek on August 5,1995 at Our Savior’s Church in Rosemount. She was employed at Lifetouch National School Studios for three decades. Karen loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and pets and always kept in touch with a card in the mail to her grandchildren. She also enjoyed flower, and vegetable gardening, and hiking in the woods.

Karen is survived by her husband, Robert Snorek of Montgomery; children, Jennifer (Michael) Corcoran of St. Paul, Robert (Sandra) Snorek of Rosemount, Brian (Amber) Murphy of Owatonna, Russell (Homa) Snorek of Lonsdale, and Ryan (Lisa) Snorek of Isanti; 13 grandchildren, Annabelle and Samuel Corcoran, Jessenia and Vivian Angulo, and Sterling Snorek, Ashley (Mark) Lindahl, Harrison, Scarlett and Thea Murphy, Easton Snorek, Loriana Willhite, Arya and Daniel Snorek; great-grandchildren, Vanessa and Oliver Gomez; sisters, Mary Kay (Ron) Johnson of Faribault and Pat Simmons of Duluth.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents, Mary Lou (Carlton) and Tom Murphy; brothers Joe Lang and Howard Lang.
