Phyllis Maria Swidorski Obituary
Phyllis Maria Swidorski, age 83 of Montgomery, died on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Mayo Systems Hospital in New Prague. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 9, from 9:30 am to 11:00 am, with funeral service at 11:00 am, all held at St. John Lutheran Church in Montgomery with Pastor, Jason Pollington officiating. Interment will be at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Montgomery at a later date.

Phyllis was born on November 15, 1939 in Bronx, NY to John and Aili (Soderlund) Hagland. She was a 1957 graduate of Roosevelt High School. Phyllis was united in marriage to Paul Adolf Swidorski on January 23, 1960 at Christ Lutheran Church in Yonkers, NY. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, gardening, and reading. She was a founding member of North Salem New York Volunteer Ambulance Corps and Deputy Highway Superintendent of North Salem New York for 20 years, American Legion Auxiliary, and a member of the Red Hat Society and was very proud of her Finnish/ Swedish Heritage and was able to visit Finland in 2005.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, Paul Adolf Swidorski of Montgomery; children, Tom Swidorski of Montgomery, and Karen Vlasak (Jeff Gustafson) of Chaska; grandchildren, Gretchen and Erik; son-in-law, Neil Vlasak; sister, Elenor Plumer of Hopewell Junction, New York; many nieces and nephews.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Virginia Hagland in infancy.
