Mary Jo Stocker of Le Center, age 92 passed away on July 25, 2023 surrounded by her children. Visitation will be held Friday, July 28, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with Father Tom Margevicius officiating, all at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Le Center, MN. Burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Le Center, MN.

Mary Jo was born on January 24, 1931 to Alois (“Louie”) and Rose (Blaschko) Krenik in Le Sueur County. She was a graduate of McKinley High School and Mankato Technical College. She was united in marriage to Hilary Stocker Sr. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in 1951. She was an excellent homemaker, she enjoyed canning, gardening, making wedding and birthday cakes and raising her ten children. Sewing was her passion she made thousands of quilts for the missions. She was strong in her Catholic faith and loved spending time with her 29 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren.

Mary Jo is preceded in death by her husband, Hilary Sr. (1967); daughter, Anna Mae (2021), son Bob (2021); brother, Larry and infant sister, Anna Mae; son-in-law, Jon Uphoff (2005); brothers-in law, John “Red” Hankins and Ray Donelan.
