Mary Louise Hayden of Kilkenny, age 84 passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Central Health Care in Le Center. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. with Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. all at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Le Center, MN.
Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Le Center, MN.

Mary was born on September 28, 1939 in New Prague to John P. and Grace (Schoell) Halloran. She was a graduate of New Prague High School and St. Catherines School of Nursing. She worked in various nursing positions before retiring as a Public Health Nurse for Le Sueur County. Mary was united in marriage to Don Hayden on June 10, 1961 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in St. Thomas. She was a Lifetime member of both the American Legion Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary of Le Center and St. Mary’s Catholic Church CCW. Mary enjoyed playing bridge, knitting, crocheting, gardening, crafts, and most kinds of handiwork.

Mary is survived by her husband, Don Hayden of Kilkenny; son, John (Saundra) Hayden of Albertville; daughter-in-law, Oanh Hayden of South Carolina; grandchildren, Kyle, Kennedy, and Shauna; sister, Doris (Bill) Solie of Eden Prairie; sister-in-law, Dorothy Dinwidde.

Mary is preceded in death by parents; son, Jeffrey Hayden; brothers, John, Edward, Joseph, and James; sister, Ruth Johnson; sister-in-law, Rosemary Storberg.
