Mary Frances Schmidthuber Obituary
Mary Frances Schmidthuber, age 89, of Le Center, died on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Benedictine Court in St. Peter. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 27 at the American Legion in Le Center from Noon-3pm.
Mary was born on January 5, 1935 in Minneapolis to Frank and Mabel (Talbot) Weber. She was a graduate of McKinley High School and Faribault School of Practical Nursing. Mary was united in marriage to Alfred Schmidthuber on March 11, 1965. She worked as an LPN at Central Health Care in Le Center. After marrying they farmed crops and raised horses, cows, chickens, and pigs. She enjoyed card playing, travelling- including trips to Ireland and Alaska, Jeeping in the Arizona desert, and motorcycling. In 1993 she moved to Arizona and returned to Le Center in 2018.
Mary is survived by her children, Cindy (Roger) Fischer of Pine City, Jaci (Rana Chowdhury) Moravec of Prior Lake, Will (Carol) Schmidthuber of Grand Marais, and Pat (Tami) Schmidthuber of St. Peter; 7 grandchildren, Shane, Nicole (Nate), Shannon (Natalie), Emily, Tyler (Krissy), Mary (Joey), and Allie; 8 great-grandchildren and 3 on the way; her cat, Sam.
Mary is preceded in death by her loving husband, Alfred Schmidthuber in March of 2014; brother, Jim Weber; niece, Ann Marie; and her parents.
