Ronald Joseph Rosival Obituary
Ronald Joseph Rosival, age 78 of Lonsdale passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Allina Hospital in Faribault. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 15 from 9:30am-11am at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Shieldsville with Mass of Christian Burial following at 11am with Fr. Timothy Sandquist officiating. Interment will be held in the Trebon Cemetery in Shieldsville. Military honors provided by the Montgomery area Veterans Honor Guard.
Ronald was born on April 18, 1946 in Faribault to Joseph F. and Julia E. (Pesta) Rosival. He attended District 18 country school, was a graduate of Sherman High School in Montgomery, and the U of M in St. Paul with a degree in Animal Husbandry and Agronomy. He served in the United States Army and was united in marriage to Anna Emge on September 18, 1971 at St. Lawrence Church in Faribault. He was a member of FFA, American Dairy Association, and the Rice County Pork Producers. HHe enjoyed car shows, auctions, Allis Chalmers tractors, dancing, fishing, Kolacky Days, reading, playing cards, listening to KCHK radio and spending time with family.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Anna Rosival of Lonsdale; children, Michael (Nichole) Rosival of Montgomery, Ronna (Jon) Trnka of Montgomery, Rachel (Paul) Kubal of Faribault, and Vanessa Rosival of Lonsdale; grandchildren, Allie (Sam) Traxler, Julie Trnka, Lizzie (fiancé, Mason) Trnka, Andrew Trnka, Ariel (JP) Bigelow, and Cassandra (Jacob) Frickstad; great-grandchild, Evren Traxler; brother-in-law, Marvin M. Malecha; sister-in-law, Diane (Tom) Iacarella; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ronald is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Rita (Elmer) Sticha and Linda Malecha; and parents-in-law, Sylvester and Dorothy Emge.
