Elizabeth (Betty) Frances Pomije, age 82, of Montgomery passed away on Wednesday, December 25th, 2024 at Traditions of Montgomery. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Montgomery American Legion Club on Sunday, December 29th as an Open House from 11:00 – 2:00. Private Family Services and Internment will be held at a later date.

Betty was born in Le Center on October 17th, 1942 to Mary Magdeline (Schloesser) and Edward Slavik Jr. Betty graduated from Le Center High School. Betty was united in marriage to George John Pomije Jr. on June 3rd, 1961.

Betty enjoyed gardening, baking, reading, and spending time with her family.
Betty is survived by her husband, George; children, Allan Pomije of Mankato, Mark Pomije of Montgomery, Brian (Dawn) Pomije of Venice FL, Karen (Greg) Germscheid of Madison Lake, and Michael Pomije of St. Augustine FL; siblings, Mary Anne (Gene) Aufderhar of Le Sueur, Carol Jaenisch of New Prague, Joan (Larry Cattell) Walters of New Prague, Mike (Ann) Slavik of New Prague, and Patty Palm of Le Center; grandchildren, Ashley (Eric) Iverson, Chad (Halli) Germscheid, Cody Germscheid, and Grace Pomije; and great-granddaughters Eleanor and Amelia Iverson.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Edward Slavik; and brother, John Slavik.
