Marlys Ann Hora, age 83, of Montgomery MN, passed away at Shakopee Friendship Manor on Tuesday, December 24, 2024. Visitation will be held Sunday, December 29th at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Shieldsville, MN from 4pm to 7pm. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 30th at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church at 11am with Fr. Timothy Sandquist officiating with visitation an hour prior. Interment will be in the Bohemian National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to donor’s choice.

Marlys was born in Faribault on September 21st, 1941 to Geraldine (Glynn) and Cyril Caron. Marlys graduated from Bethlehem Academy in Faribault. Marlys was united in marriage to Donald Hora on August 1st 1964 at the Sacred Heart Church in Faribault. Marlys worked as a bookkeeper for her family’s construction company.
Marlys enjoyed sewing and knitting, collecting dolls, and spending time with her cats.

Marlys is survived by her husband, Donald; children, Arleen Roberts of Montgomery, Brenda (Chuck) Feilmeier of Plano TX, Dwayne Hora of Mantorville; siblings, Dale (Jan) Caron of Faribault, Ronald (Faye) Caron of Faribault, Joanne (David) Decker of Rochester, Linda (Byron) O’Connor of Medford, Carol (Wally) Ahrens of Farmington, Denise (Mark) Aschenbrener of Hugo; and grandchildren Amanda and Victoria Roberts, and Skyler, Mac, and Ella Feilmeier.

Marlys is preceded in death by her parents, Geraldine and Cyril; sister, Janice Eyre; and brother, Thomas Caron.
