Beginning Pottery With Aj Aburto
BEGINNING POTTERY WITH AJ ABURTO | For beginners & intermediate students 16+ | MONDAYS & WEDNESDAYS 5-8 P.M., MARCH 25 – MAY 15 (8 weeks). In person at the Arts Center. New to the pottery wheel, or want to brush up on your skills? Instructor and clay studio manager AJ Aburto teaches the fundamentals of working with clay to create functional forms. Writing Workshop with Alex French, Mondays March 11 - April 29, 6:00-8:00 p.m.,at the Arts Center (weather permitting, otherwise via Zoom). Teaching artist Alex S. French will foster discussion and craft writing lessons based around published works (and participants' interests), while also offering a space for participants' own writing through positive and constructive peer-workshopping. Drop-in Community Writing with Alex French, Mondays Jan. 22 - April 29, 6:00-8:00 p.m., at the Arts Center.The Arts Center is offering a positive, welcoming space for writers of all levels and interests to meet and work toward their individual goals in a community setting. Free.How it works:The host will lead 10 minutes or so of light chat, intros, speaking about goals, etc., and an optional prompt to work toward or consider during writing.The next hour is given to focused writing.After that we will engage in a few minutes of debriefing and relaxation wherein everyone is free to share the triumphs and frustrations of their writing process (Trust the process.)This is a place where everyone should leave feeling great about taking time to work on their craft. May we all feel energized to continue doing so.Free, with donations to the Arts Center encouraged.
