Ceramics For Beginners
CERAMICS FOR BEGINNERS



If you’ve been meaning to explore or get back into pottery, this is your winter! The Arts Center of Saint Peter is launching a new, 16-week program to welcome absolute beginners into the clay studio community. Participants will develop and refine basic skills in all aspects of wheel-throwing and hand-building, from clay prep to trimming and glazing techniques. Each participants receives: 1) a one-hour orientation and Q-and-A session with the instructor; 2) one hour of private instruction for 16 weeks (Sunday, Jan. 9 - Saturday, April 30); 3) unlimited supervised practice time in the studio, every Monday and Tuesday 4-8 p.m. You’ll also have unlimited access to studio equipment, glazes, and recycled clay for practice projects (for other projects, clay may be purchased @$15/30 lbs). For beginners, 18+. All sessions and practice times must take place Mondays and Tuesdays, 4-8 p.m., Jan. 9 - April 30 (after you register, the Arts Center will contact you to schedule specific dates/times). $120/month (4-month max; pay only $120 at registration, with further billing to be arranged).
