Monika Rose Peters Obituary
Monika Rose Peters, age 60, of Montgomery, MN went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her family, September 12, 2021 at the University of Minnesota Medical Center. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 16 from 9am-11am with memorial service to follow at 11am all at St. John Lutheran Church in Montgomery.

Monika was born on February 16, 1961 in Milwaukee, WI to Gunther and Gisela Guttowski. She graduated Lake Worth High School in FL. Monika was united in marriage to Gregory William Peters on December 12, 1982 in Lake Osborne, FL. She worked as a Para for TCU Elementary School in Montgomery and a caretaker at Phillips Square Assisted Living in New Prague. She was strong in her faith and enjoyed gardening, cooking, bird watching, taking care of her home and most of all being with her family.

Monika is survived by her husband Gregory Peters of Montgomery; children, Stephen Peters of Edina, MN; Christian (Sandy) Peters of Farmington, MN; Nicholas Peters of Bloomington, MN; Sarah Peters (fiancé, Joe Franek) of Belle Plaine, MN, and Alexander Peters of Louisville, KY; mother, Gisela Guttowski of Lantana, FL; brother, Hans Guttowski of Montgomery, MN; and half-sister, Nicola (Gary) Burkett.

Monika is preceded in death by her father, Gunther Guttowski; half-sister Nelly Knapp; and half-brother, Jeff Guttowski.
