Bradley David DeWitte obituary
Bradley David DeWitte Obituary
Bradley David DeWitte, 67, Montgomery, passed into eternity surrounded by family and friends on Friday November 17, 2023, after a short battle with a big cancer. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 25 from 9am-Noon with funeral service at Noon all at St. John Lutheran Church in Montgomery. Interment will follow at Wabash-Friends Cemetery in Indiana.

Brad was born September 7, 1956, in Mankato to Robert and Ruth (Yokiel) DeWitte. He was raised in Mankato, attended Loyola Catholic School, and graduated in 1974 from Mankato East High School.

Brad spent most of his working years as an electrician in the Twin Cities and surrounding area. Most recently, he served 11 years as a maintenance electrician with Sheldahl in Northfield, MN, before retiring in early 2022.
Brad loved the outdoors; camping, fishing, skiing, and bicycling occupied his young adult years. In 2000 he acquired a BMW 1200 LT and began more than two decades of motorcycle adventures. His stable of bikes expanded to Ducati, Triumph, and Yamaha. He relished both the afternoon outing and the long-distance tour, and along the way he completed two Iron Butt Association Saddle Sore 1000-mile rides. He attended BMW and Moto Guzzi motorcycle rallies throughout the Midwest and across the country. When the group organized for a ride, Brad set a spirited pace!

Brad met Diane Stouffer at a BMW motorcycle rally in Iowa; their mutual love of motorcycling brought them together, and they were married in Millersburg, MN on July 3, 2010.
Following retirement Brad revived his enthusiasm for ice fishing. He was an avid reader and an enthusiastic fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs hockey team.

Brad is survived by his wife, Diane, brother Ken (Chris) DeWitte of North Mankato, mother Ruth Hanson of Mankato, father-in-law Donald Stouffer and siblings-in-law Denise Stouffer, Dale (Kelly) Stouffer, and Dean (Cheryl) Stouffer all of Wabash, IN. He was loved by his nieces and nephews: Nicole (Cody) Brunick of Mankato, Parker (Katie) Stouffer of Wabash, IN, Katie Stouffer (Dylan Snell) and Jonah Stouffer of Indianapolis, IN, and Jared (Kari) Stouffer of Wetumpka, AL.

Brad was preceded in death by his father Robert DeWitte.

Arrangements are with the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. 507-357-6116. On-line condolences may be left at www.schoenbauerfuneralhome.com.
