Mildred (Milly) Schoenbauer Obituary
Mildred (Milly) Mary Schoenbauer, age 96, of Montgomery passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Traditions of Montgomery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM at Schoenbauer Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 11:30 AM with visitation one hour prior at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery with Father Tom Niehaus officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to local service organizations of donor’s choice.

Milly was born on November 17, 1927, in New Prague to Jim and Gustie (Sachs) Mach. She graduated from New Prague High School and St. Catherine College. Milly was united in marriage to Quentin J. Schoenbauer on September 2, 1950 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in New Prague.

She worked as a Funeral Director with her husband and later with her son, Greg at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home. She also worked at Green Giant and Food and Fuel for many years. She was a member of the Holy Redeemer Church CCW, American Legion Auxiliary Post 79 and an avid volunteer for many organizations.

Milly is survived by her children, Steve (Janelle), (Jan), Karen (Rodger) Riggers, Greg (Sheila), Carol (Mark) Cemensky, Jean (John) Pike, 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren

Milly is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Quentin; sons, Marty and Dave; sister, Alma Dignen; brothers, Gilbert Mach and Robert Mach.
