Caroline Bessie Trcka Obituary
Caroline Bessie Trcka, age 92, of Montgomery, died on Monday, December 18, 2023 at Mala Strana in New Prague. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 27, from 9:30-11 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. all at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery with Fr. George Grafsky officiating. Interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery in Montgomery.

Caroline was born on September 2, 1931 at home in Vesli to Joseph A. and Ottila (Tupy) Ziskovsky. She was a 1949 New Prague High School graduate. Caroline was united in marriage to Vernon Trcka on August 9, 1955 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Veseli. She worked as an X-Ray Technician at Queen of Peace Hospital in New Prague while Vernon was in the service- upon his return home she worked side-by-side with him on the farm and lived on the farm for over 70 years. She was a VFW Auxiliary member. Caroline enjoyed sewing, cooking, doing all the farm record keeping and helping with chores, fishing, travelling and visiting casinos with her husband, Vernon.

Caroline is survived by her children, Vern (Char) Trcka of Montgomery and Verna Buchholz and husband Scott Zellmer of Sturgeon Lake; grandchildren, Ryan Trcka, Eric Buchholz, and Jacob (Heather) Buchholz; several great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph (Betty) of Lonsdale; sister-in-law, Gloria Trcka of Montgomery; many nieces and nephews.

Caroline is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon; parents; brother-in-law, Irvin Trcka.
