Edmund George Dorweiler Obituary
Edmund George Dorweiler, age 85, of Montgomery passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024 at his home. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 20 from 9-11am with funeral at 11am all held at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. Military honors will be provided by the Montgomery area Honor Guard. Luncheon/ refreshments in the Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church social hall.

Edmund was born on September 19, 1938 in Mallard, Iowa to Rudolph and Frances (Fehring) Sr. He was a graduate of Lamberton High School and Eden Prairie Tech School. He served in the United States Army from August 21, 1957 to May 27, 1960. Edmund was united in marriage to Kathleen Kieffer in on September 29, 1962 at St. Bridget Church in Minneapolis. He worked for M.A. Gedney Company and Thiele Engineering as a boiler operator, mechanic.

He was a former trustee of the Teamsters Union, AA member, and an usher at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Ed loved travelling and watching wildlife. He spent many hours wood working, creating clocks, plaques, crosses, and refinishing furniture. He loved watching his grandson Blake at Raceway Park, playing cards and watching pro sports.

Edmund is survived by Kathleen Dorweiler of Montgomery; son, Gary (Michelle) Dorweiler of New Prague; grandchildren, Blake James (Stephanie) Dorweiler of Le Center and Luke Andrew Dorweiler of New Prague; great-grandchildren, Colton, Henry, and Jace.

He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Wilbur, Bernie, Lois, Jane, Don, Rudy Jr. Clarence, and Alyce.
