Patricia Lois Filipek, passed away on March 2, 2024 at the age of 80, at Three Links in Northfield. A private family burial will be held. In lieu of cards and flowers the family would prefer donations to Minnesota Hospice Foundation. mnhospicefoundation.org.

Patricia was born on June 11, 1943 in St. Peter to Edward and Jesse (Rapp) Vollmer. She was a Le Center High School Graduate. She was united in marriage to James Myles Filipek in 1962. Before she was married, she worked at a dentist office in Le Center, she was a homemaker and a realtor. She was a creative crafter, carved and painted ducks, quilter, flower arranging, painting, and enjoyed traveling every winter for 47 years they went to Puerto Rico.

Patricia is survived by her 6 children; Tim Filipek of Le Center, Amy (Jim) Card of Laporte, Tony (Jodi) Filipek of Montgomery Nick (Erin) Filipek of New Prague , Jessa (Steve) Ellingsworth of Montgomery and Patrick (Shana) Filipek of Lonsdale; grandchildren, Morgan and Josh Ziehl, Kyle and Kaitlin Ellingsworth, Madeline Bidne, Ashley Anvik, Kelsey Schernbeck, and McKenzie Filipek; great-grandchildren, Soren, and Braxton Schernbeck, Trenton and Ava Anvik; great-great-grandchild, Hadley Selly; sister, Donna (Donald “Froggy”) Vlasak of Montgomery; many nieces and nephews.

Patricia is preceded in death by her husband, James Filipek; her parents; 5 sisters.
